About

30-something, married lesbian, mother of 1, diagnosed at 20 as bipolar-I and heavily medicated.  Motivated by health concerns, I withdrew from Zyprexa five years ago.  Over the next three years I painstakingly withdrew from my remaining 3 drugs under medical supervision (Klonopin,  Tegretol,  Lamictal).  After surviving the withdrawal, it turns out I’m perfectly fine, and probably was for a long time, maybe the whole time.  This is my attempt to put some of the pieces back together, to figure out how and why I went down that road, and what it means now.
